Benefits

Integrating culture and arts in urban public spaces plays an integral part in shaping a city’s image and identity.

Accessible and free, street art democratises culture by taking it to the streets.

Bringing to life the ground plane and breaking up large grey expanses.

The process is bottom-up and coordinates Council, the local community, iwi and artists. This culminates in an artwork that is often a source of pride for locals and represents the community to the outside world.

Practically the Mapei Surfacing extends the life of the slab, is vehicle-proof and maintains integrity long into the future.
