Technical Details

Engineering

NZ Structural Engineer (BECivil CMEngNZ) designed and Producer Statement Design (PS1) certified for both the tower and footings.

Manufacturing

Manufactured in Wigram Christchurch by an ISO 9001 business with over 35 years of experience.

Independently Tested

Materials (steel grade & source) and Load Tested.

Hoop

Patented U-Spring design, zinc coated then powdercoated with the Dulux Duratec system – the highest performing powdercoat – to the client's colour choice.

Backboard

Unique punched aluminium  reducing overhead weight and wind load and virtually unbreakable. Powdercoated with the Dulux Duratec system – the highest performing powdercoat – to the client's colour choice.

PALSUN Polycarbonate type for a clear finish. PALSUN combines superior impact resistance and clarity.  It is virtually unbreakable, yet it is as transparent as glass at less than half its weight.

No Dunking Sticker

High-quality Metalphoto Sub‐Surface Anodised Aluminum with 3M adhesive.

Tower

 Finished with a PUR5 PPG Protective and Marine Coating system providing C4 Atmospheric Corrosivity Category (ACC) High Environment Protection. Safety in design lifting eyes provides safe attachment points for overhead lifting during installation.

Stub

Finished with Hot Dipped Galvanising to HDG500, providing Category C4 Atmospheric Corrosivity Category (ACC) : High Environment Protection.

The safety in design above-ground portion of the stub (internal spigot) supports the tower independently when contractors tighten the hold-down nuts. This feature also reassures the client that the tower will remain standing should damage occur.

Reo Cage

Hold-down bolts are tied into a pre-formed reinforcing cage to provide extra strength.

Concrete Footing

Standard plant 600mm OD x 1500mm deep type footing.

Fixings

316 Stainless Steel for the highest corrosion resistance.

Spare Parts

Available from Wigram, Christchurch.

Parklife can customise client orders to suit site-specific ground conditions, environmental conditions, backboard type and size, colour choices, etc.
