Active Southland and Cycling Southland led a collaborative effort between community organisations, councils and funders to install the Kapiti Pump Track.
The track will activate under-utilised public and green spaces and unite the community around riding skateboards, scooters and bicycles.
The community-named track - Tunatuna, the Murihiku Portable Pump Track - will serve as a template for communities to evaluate the potential impact of a pump track in their community.
